The Kiwanis Club of Abbotsford meets every Thursday at 6:30 P.M. @ Crossroads restaurant on Sumas Way in Abbotsford.  The first Thursday of the month is a board meeting and the third Thursday is student of the month during the school months,the others are regular meeting with guest speakers.


What are we? Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
Purpose: To improve the quality of life for children and families worldwide.
Mission: As a thriving organization of men, women, and youth, we are dedicated to serving the children of the world and improving the quality of life worldwide.
Vision: We will be the world's premier organization engaging adult and youth volunteers to improve the quality of life worldwide.
How we do it? We raise money to support the following programs

Children and Youth Services:

  • Infant Food Bank
  • Key Club : High School service clubs including Abbotsford Collegiate Key Club and Yale Key Club
  • Read & Lead – Literacy books for pre schools
  • Student Bursaries
  • Student of the Month for Abbotsford Collegiate, Yale Secondary,Chief Dan George Middle and W.A. Fraser Middle
  • New Beginnings
  • Youth for Christ Safe Ride Program
  • Youth for Christ Bus Program
  • Abbotsford Junior Police Academy
  • Terrific Kids program.  Jackson Elementary School  
  • Pulling Together Society- working with Aboriginal Youth at Risk and the Local Police Department.
